He thought back on what happened, on the accident that got them here. She was simple collateral in a battle with a villain he had been trying to catch for months. He didn't even know she was in the same building until she was found by medics I the aftermath. A severe head injury. Lots fo blood. He felt sick just remembering that day... and he felt guilty that she was in this position.

He wondered if she would be mad at him when she woke up, if she'd cry or if she'd smile at him the way she does when he tells her he loves her. He wondered if she could hear every word of affection he whispered into her ear in the weeks she had been out. He didnt have to wonder much longer...
