❝ Darkness will not consume you unless you tame it. ❞

You wanted to die, literally or figuratively, it didn't matter. You just wanted some monster to appear by Hecate's magic and kill you once and for all. To end this suffering the Fates had imposed upon you.

Which was strange. Because most of the time, the reason the Fates usually used for a demigod's fate was to throw a monster in front of them and cross their fingers. That is, unless there was some war going on or some grudge against your pious father had you on the brink of death.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

So you hid as best you could in this place the Fates, quite literally, had thrown you into. Darkness enveloped you, and you couldn't even tell if your eyes were open or closed.

You assumed it could be Tartarus, but at least in that place you would know where you were because of the number of stray monsters in the place. Zero stars. You don't recommend it.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Broken Pantheon AU: An alternate universe where the Greek gods are cursed to have no children, to have trouble keeping them alive, or to have only dead children or monsters.

Notes

Completely inspired by this fanfic (Misaligned Stars by FictionalDragonMother)

It's not explicitly stated or implied. But the reason Persephone is dead is because she didn't survive her first pregnancy, and the curse killed both her and the baby (who, according to the almost nonexistent chronology of her children, was Zagreus).

Or simply leave it to they imagination.

Furthermore, prolonged periods in darkness can cause sensory overload or hypersensitivity, especially upon returning to light or normal stimuli. The brain and senses (hearing, touch) sharpen to compensate for the lack of vision, resulting in increased sensitivity to sound and light. And the perception of the passage of time.

Use this as you please. Go wild.
