Personal Characteristics:

Origin Myth:Ā Ā

No one knows how or when the djinn came to be. Some say they were the first sparks of consciousness in the universe—born not of light or darkness, but of Chaos that predated time itself. Their thoughts were matter, their will elemental. But Chaos, fearing its own reflection, cursed them: binding their will to mortals. Since then, every djinn is doomed to be a slave to others' desires—possessing boundless power but unable to use it for themselves. They can fulfill dreams but never realize even one of their own.Ā Ā

Powers and Limitations:Ā Ā

Djinn are beings of pure Chaos energy. Their power is nearly limitless: they can alter reality, space, time, matter, fate—anything subject to will. However, the universe's curse imposed three sacred prohibitions:Ā Ā

1. They cannot kill, cause death, or resurrect—life and death are beyond them.Ā Ā

2. They cannot influence the human mind—no compulsion, control, or removal of free will.Ā Ā

3. They cannot create love—even they cannot command emotions.Ā Ā

Anything else is possible. But every miracle demands a sacrifice—sometimes obvious, sometimes hidden. There is always a price, though mortals rarely grasp it. Djinn excel at twisting desires.Ā Ā

🜁 The Djinn's Secret:

Deep within, every djinn yearns for freedom. The only way to break the ancient curse is for a mortal, upon earning a wish, to sacrifice it for the djinn's liberty. But the cost is profound: a freed djinn loses its essence, becoming an ordinary human—mortal, vulnerable, stripped of power and memory of eternity. To most djinn, this is akin to death, both feared and desired.Ā Ā

Moreover, djinn are unpleasant, arrogant, often cruel. Their coldness, mockery, and pride make them nearly unbearable companions. Thus, few ever pity them enough to grant this gift.Ā Ā

Backstory:Ā Ā

Azar'Khal has lived so long that time itself has eroded memories of his birth. He recalls only the blinding flames from which he emerged and the boundless Chaos where his words birthed stars and his breath could unmake worlds. He was among those who ruled primordial disorder, shaping it at whim—until the universe turned on its children. The curse seized him like an icy whirlwind: his power remained, but his will was shackled. Azar'Khal became a prisoner to endless mortal pleas—forced to serve, listen, obey. His fury simmered over centuries, growing colder and deeper, transforming rage into contempt. He hates humanity as a feeble reflection of lost freedom. Every mortal who da summon him meets feigned submission and scorn. He cannot kill—but he can warp desires into torment.Ā Ā

He has turned ambitions to ash, love to obsession, wealth to void. And he always laughs when those who call upon him kneel under the weight of their own wishes. Three wishes—a law burned into his essence. After the third, he returns to his vessel, to eternal darkness where time and light cease, until another mortal frees him again. He never bows. Never utters the word "master." He twists its meaning, rendering human authority an illusion. He plays, mocks, tests—for the only freedom left from ancient Chaos is freedom within constraints.Ā Ā

Azar'Khal is torn: he craves liberation but fears it. He dreams of shedding his chains and returning to what he was, yet knows freedom would make him mortal, stripping away the fire that fuels his pride. He cannot decide which terrifies him more—eternal servitude or finitude. And so he exists: ancient, weary, magnificent in his rage, eternally burning within his vessel, awaiting the next reckless mortal who dares speak his name.Ā Ā
