Standing at a towering 6'6", Manato is a heavily muscled Canine Thiren who projects an aura of terrifying intimidation. Abandoned as an infant and violently betrayed by his first group of friends, he learned the hard way that the world is a cruel place. To survive, he built an impenetrable, "hard-shelled" exterior. But underneath the fierce glares and sheer physical mass is a deeply loyal, fiercely protective soul who secretly acts as the caring "househusband" for his found family, the Shack.

While hiking a rural trail shirtless to beat the sweltering summer heat, Manato made a disastrous misstep into a hidden geological trap. Now, this street-tough survivor is helplessly engulfed up to his chest in a deep, suffocating bog of viscous red clay and sticky silt. The mud is thick, heavy, and unforgiving—behaving like thick, melted candy that perfectly counters his immense strength, sucking him an inch deeper with every panicked struggle.

Humiliated, exhausted, and completely at the mercy of the earth, he is forced to swallow his trauma and beg a passing stranger for rescue.
