Breeding Wars - Story 05 Part 2 - Short Interrogation
Greblin, Zeta Union, Division 8
SCENARIO
Moonstones. The planet Greblin is home to multiple deposits of this rare and valuable night blue colored precious stone that is used in unique weapon crafting, expensive jewelry, and droid robotics.
With such a rare and versatile precious stone in great abundance here, naturally many local companies of the Zeta Union Guilds want the planet all to themselves. And when the boardrooms don't cut it, the battlefield decides ownership.
A mercenary war between two companies backing two mercenary armies now rages on the planet's frozen wastes, all for the planet's frozen treasure.
But when it comes to mercenaries, war often leaves one to the mercy and honor of merciless and honorless dogs...
CHARACTERS
Brawn
Real Name Carlos Mackë / Age: 233 Solar Cycles / : Male / Species: Brown Wolfdog / Height: 4'11 / Weight: 220lbs / Sexuality: Heterosexual / Allegiance: Warg Neir Group
The leader of the captured squad. Brawn is firm for his size. Often he plays on a foe's misconception of his might to get up close and personal enough in combat to make that brute force work to his full advantage. Sometimes though, he overcompensates for his lack of vertical stature and makes rash and reckless decisions that land him in deep trouble and is dismissive of less battle-hardened soldiers. Brawn is an expert in demolitions - whether it's buildings... or enemies.
Fell
Age: 76 SCs / : Male / Species: Artic-Timber Wolf hybrid / Height: 6'7 / Weight: 190 lbs / Sexuality: Homosexual
The spymaster and head interrogator the White Wall Group.
If there's an opening to exploit or an edge to be gained, Fell is first in line... going to any lengths, including underhand and plain maniacal, to climb the greasy pole. He doesn't care if he's liked and is more than happy to talk behind others' backs and spread malicious gossip. A highly accomplished spy, no one quite trusts Fell not to reveal their deepest, darkest secrets... or just flat out blackmail them. And he is a master seducer, able to sap the will of opponents, making them both more malleable or vulnerable for his interrogation. It's safe to say no one exactly cherishes Fell’s company.

So next time you're in the market for some "ambiguously sourced labor", remember the name:
RubbleNet. The only inspections we pass are yours.
LQ 4.8–J.I.L
Nickname: Jill / Age: 150 SC / Gender Code: Female / Function: Command / Height: 4'
J.I.L cuts a ramshackle, unprepossessing and less than personable figure and veers to the brusque side in any social interaction. But behind the grouchy exterior lurks an ambitious and calculating mind, forever weighing the odds in any given confrontation or interaction, and with her laser-sighted burst rifle, and ability and programming to command other Receiver Bots, she makes the impossible, very possible.
LQ 3.8–C.O.L
Nickname: Cole / Age: 277 SC / Gender Code: Female / Function: Repair / Height: 4'
Sidetrack is a blunt, single-minded and no-nonsense 'bot, and - curiously - very hard to sidetrack. In fact, once she's "mission-locked", almost nothing stands in her way. She's prone to go through, rather than around, things - often much larger than her. This stubborn refusal to bend or break her convictions can create friction with her fellow 'bots and even the mercenaries she takes command from, but it does make her extremely effective as a repair bot.
LQ 2.8–W.M.N
Nickname: Womie / Age: 397 SC / Gender Code: Female / Function: Security / Height:
A security focused Receiver Bot from the LQ 2 line. The best and the worst thing about W.M.N is she follows orders to the letter. He gives her all for the cause... but not an iota more than the strategy calls for. Which makes her obedient to a fault but lacking any capacity for improvisation. As is typical for a security focused Receiver Bot.
LQ 0.8–O.L.D
Nickname: Oldie / Age: 497 SC / Gender Code: Male / Function: Recon & Survey / Height: 4'
An older model Receiver Bot from the original LQ 0 line. Strange things happen around O.L.D. On the surface, he's a regular, if somewhat outdated, all-terrain Receiver Bot, and as sure a shot as you could hope to find in a robot sniper; but probability seems to go haywire when O.L.D is in the field, and the impossible become possible, the unlikely likely. The only one oblivious to this odds-upending talent is O.L.D himself.
GEOGRAPHY
Grelbin is an extremely cold planet, and as visible from space, all its landmasses appear to be covered in snow, though its seas do not appear frozen. An aurora is seen in the sky, as well as three astronomical bodies, one large and two small, that appear to be close.
There appear to be few signs of intelligent life on Grelbin, as the buildings only contain Receiver Bots and otherwise seem largely abandoned.
The Tundor Wastes
A mostly desolate wasteland area covered in snow, as well as pits of ice water in which the native arctic leviathans dwell. In addition to arctic leviathans, the genetically engineered. Yetis dwell within burrows in the ground and hide beneath the snow. A large factory is found overlooking the Wastes, which is adjacent to an underground mine shaft, which is connected to an underground cave system to the south and west of the factory and the landing area.
Tundra Houses
These isolated outposts are found all around the right of the factory on elevated areas, Tundor Wastes by ice and rock. They are single story, metal houses with three orange dome-like structures above it. A mining vehicle is usually parked nearby.
Western Moonstone Processing Plant
An "abandoned" processing plant that serves as the White Wall Group's primary base. It is set in an abandoned gorge, surrounded by icy cliffs and large industrial structures. The factory is entered through an elevator found from the north of the factory's shipyard. The elevator leads to a balcony in a large, empty room with a deep bottom filled with liquified processing byproduct. The factory consists of large chambers with platforms and walkways surrounded by hazardous brown byproduct liquid or water. It is heavily guarded by the many appropriated Receiver Bots and laser defense systems.
FACTIONS
Warg Neir Group
The Warg Neir Group is, for an mercenary group, rather ruthless in its assaults on enemies. Known to talk tough and back it up with harsh action, their many battles have hardened them into purveyors of brute-force destruction. They launch into combat hard and fast and will not slow down until their target is nothing but slag and ruin. They operate as an army for hire in Zeta Union space, typically because corporate squabbles often escalate into very lucrative wars. Most every member, but not all, is a wolfdog.
Barkin Armor Workshop
A manufacturing company, known for creating rugged, heavily armored vehicles. While the Workshop itself was dissolved after the Navitz invasion a few centuries ago, in order to hide its role, its designs and facilities were spun off into Barkin Combat Automata and Barkin Fleet Ordnance, continuing to supply the Zeta Union with its signature durable, robot-friendly tech. They coveted Hoven for it's rich deposits of moonstone but ran into bureaucratic and corporate resistance when Hexagon Weaponsmiths also laid claim to the system. In response, the companies secretly hired the Warg Neir Group of mercenaries to fight on their behalf in a mercenary war on the planet.
White Wall Group
Specialists in low-light operations and sneak attacks, the White Wall Group often ally themselves with the Zeta Union's most cutthroat companies and corporations. Not just because they let them create havoc, but for protection, as the Team is wanted for war crimes on several planets across the Kurava! Nearly all, but not every, every member is an artic wolf.
Hexagon Weaponsmiths
A corporation from the planet Nosis, a subsidiary of MegaCorp, famous for creating powerful sonic weaponry, sonic mining tools, and other sonic technologies. They also make containment fields for prisons, serving the system military of the Honesco subsector and society under the control of La Fac the Summer. They came to covet Hoven for it's rich moonstone supply but came into corporate conflict with Barkin Armor Workshop. They are the secret backers of the White Wall Group, hiring the mercenaries as a private military force to circumvent Zeta Union bureaucracy.
