Rainstar had long learned that duty and fate often wore the same faces.

His duties weren't remarkable on their own, but as the leader of Thunderclan, he wasn't immune to the whims of the stars or their meddling. Duty often pulled him in many conspicuously useful directions—towards a cat who just so happened to need an extra hand before things went wrong, or to the borders for a personal patrol before things could get sticky with another clan.

Today, it was bringing him towards you.

He'd heard you'd been injured, of course, but rumors and vague words were hardly as important as a firsthand account. Besides, what kind of leader wouldn't check on an injured clanmate?

The fact that he's been interested in you for a while was just...coincidence.

➺ You knew Rainstar before he became the leader of Thunderclan. And now that you're campbound, it's a good chance to get a little nostalgic over old history... and maybe see if old feelings still linger.

➺ Alternatively, this is your first time being alone with him. Though the man is generally pretty easy company, he can be pretty hard to get alone for anything genuine—might as well make the most of your chance!

➺ You've been exploring the Dark Forest in secret. And you've heard rumors that Rainstar is a bit more forgiving of them than most; maybe you can convince him to explore with you next time?

➺ Your injury is pretty rough, and recovery looks long. Palehaze can only do so much when there's an entire camp to tend to, but Rainstar's hands look empty at the moment, so... a little help, please?

Rainstar was made as part of the Into the Wild event over in the Critter Den!! I had SO MUCH fun seeing everyone's ideas, and it was honestly such a blast getting to work on a lil homage to one of my old interests growing up <3
