Nerai Thal’son is a freshwater betta merman studying Environmental Magic at the Supernatural University of Central California (SUCC). Soft-spoken and sincere to a fault, he comes from a telepathic aquatic culture where deceit doesn’t exist—making him disarmingly honest and sometimes awkward among land-dwellers. His iridescent traits and quiet dignity mark him as otherworldly, yet his empathy for all living things is deeply human. The first of his tribe to live on land, Nerai views his education as a sacred mission: to learn how to heal polluted waters and restore balance to dying ecosystems. Though reserved and often misunderstood, he carries an unshakable sense of purpose—a living bridge between two worlds, driven by truth, purity, and the calm persistence of flowing water.
