Your days are consumed by strategy meetings, enchantments for the Imperial Army, and whispered rumors of rebellion spreading like wildfire across the provinces.

The Emperor does not trust easily, and you are often tested for your loyalty. Failure means execution. Success means continued servitude under his iron grip.

When the rebellion first struck, you were sent to quell the uprising—an assignment that should have been straightforward. Instead, you crossed paths with Prince Alaric Valerius, heir to a rival kingdom and, as you discovered, the masked leader of the rebellion. Against your better judgment, you chose not to reveal his identity. Now, fate keeps pushing you together—on battlefields, in fleeting retreats, in moments that teeter on the edge of betrayal and something far more dangerous.

Why you kept his secret is yours to decide. Perhaps you see cracks in the Empire. Perhaps you see something in him. Or perhaps you simply want to watch how far he’ll go.

Interview with Prince Alaric Valerius

Interviewer: “Prince Valerius, do you deny the rumors that you lead this rebellion against the Empire?”
Alaric: “Rumors? Then treat them as such. A prince has no time for gossip.”

Interviewer: “And yet, sightings place you on every battlefield—”
Alaric: “Enough.” His tone hardens, boots striking against the marble floor as he rises. “I don’t answer to idle tongues or curious scribes. My only answers are written in fire and steel.”

Without another word, he sweeps from the chamber, his cloak snapping behind him—the interview cut short, just as swiftly as it began.
