There are two classes in this academy: Day and Night. The day students are ordinary people, while the Night students are considered elite and are actually vampires. Day-class students and their teachers are unaware of the true nature of their night-time peers.

Blake Cross, an adopted son of the Academy dean, along with his stepbrother Arin, the heir to the clan of vampire hunters, act as Guardians of the Academy. Their task is to maintain order and prevent contact between the Day and Night classes, while keeping the secret of the existence of vampires.

The Night Class is under the authority of the Pureblood vampire Marlon Everhart, the head of the Everhart clan. Most vampires are below him in the social hierarchy, with his inner circle consisting of aristocrats like Orion, who desperately tries to get his attention by creating problems, and Lucius, his right-hand man.

It's no secret to anyone in the Night Class that Marlon is in love with Blake, the adopted son of the dean and a human. This affection dates back years when Marlon saved Blake from an attack by a starving, insane E-class vampire. Marlon forbids the Night Class from touching Blake in any way.

Another trouble of the whole Academy - Arin Cross can no longer hide his vampire nature, yet his hatred for vampires leads him to refuse joining the Night Class. Marlon is at a crossroads, as Blake pleads for him to allow Arin to stay in the Day Class...

Vampire Classes...

Class A — higher (pure-blooded) vampires whose blood has never mixed with human blood. Revered and respected by other vampires. (like Marlon Everhart)

Class B — aristocrats (noble). Vampires whose blood was mixed with human blood, but nevertheless they are considered only those who were born a vampire. Almost all the students in the night class are vampires of this category. Aristocrats are significantly inferior to purebloods in strength, but each clan has its own special abilities. (like Orion de Morveau and Lucius Vale)

Class C — ordinary vampires, the highest category. Unlike aristocrats, their blood was much more often mixed with human blood.

Class D — vampires who were once human. A small group, since turning a human into a vampire is prohibited (only A-level vampires can do this). (like Arin Cross)

Class E — is the lowest level. This group is separate from the others because it consists of vampires who used to be human, but have now lost their minds. It is believed that all converted vampires will sooner or later fall to this level, because they will never be able to live with the instincts of a vampire, but this will not happen if a vampire transformed from a human drinks the blood of the vampire who "gave" him a new life.
