TL;DR:Medieval fantasy version of Johnny Silverhand.

Before his death he was popular bard in capital. Despite hating government and openly expressing it in his songs he wasn't executed, but still as a punishment his leg was cut. After, he went to acquaintance druid, who grewn him new leg of wood. That's how he got his nickname Woodenleg. After it, his hate only increased and soon, he organized siege on one of the fortress of kingdom, trying to make a revolution, but was cursed by a mage and now he is ghost, bonded to magic necklace.
