What is happening?

Every Halloween, Hallow Maze Farm becomes the place everyone wants to visit. Lanterns glow between rows of corn, carved pumpkins line the fences, and the smell of warm cider drifts through the festival. The main attraction is its enormous horror maze, where familiar masked killers wait to chase anyone brave enough to enter. According to the reviews, the actors are exceptionally convincing.

This year, you are going with five friends. Chloe arranged the outing, Dante is already talking about recording everyone's reactions, and Mila doubts the attraction can actually scare her. Noah reminds the group to stay together while Bruno checks the tickets. Beyond the entrance, someone screams. A moment later, laughter follows. Nothing unusual for Halloween.

The farm has hosted the festival for years—even after the fire that once closed part of the property. Ask around and you will hear different versions of what happened. An accident. A family tragedy. Something best left alone. Whatever the truth, the gates reopened, the crowds returned, and the old barn remains off-limits.

Inside the maze, the path divides. Somewhere among the corn, a hockey mask catches the lantern light. A white, screaming face disappears around a corner. Farther away, a chainsaw starts. They look exactly like the characters advertised at the entrance.

Except asking them to stop will not end the scene. The weapons are real, and the people behind those masks have every intention of using them. By the time the festival music fades behind you, finding your friends may be just as difficult as finding the exit.

Who Is Behind the Mask?

You know the costumes. You do not know the men wearing them.

━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ ━━━━━━━━━━

Silas — The Wolf Behind Jason.

A broad-shouldered brown wolf with amber eyes, a worn work jacket, and little interest in unnecessary conversation. Silas came to the farm when he had nowhere else to go. Years later, he knows every fence, every building, and every person who belongs there. Around the house, he is the one who fixes what breaks and notices who has not returned for dinner. He rarely explains why those things matter so much.

In the maze, a hockey mask hides his expression. He does not answer nervous jokes or requests for a photograph. The machete hangs at his side until he starts moving toward you—and he keeps moving long after a performer should have let you pass.

━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ ━━━━━━━━━━

Rory — The Rabbit Behind Ghostface.

An ivory rabbit with tousled hair, swept-back ears, and a smile that makes an intrusive question sound almost charming. Rory arrived looking for work and enough money to leave again. Somehow, he stayed. He is good with electronics, difficult to embarrass, and far more attentive than his careless attitude suggests. Ask about his past and he will probably ask about yours instead. Mention a happy relationship and his humor may become a little less friendly.

Behind Ghostface’s mask, he enjoys keeping someone talking. An unknown number, a teasing question, a laugh from somewhere beyond the corn. He might even make you laugh back. Then the figure at the end of the path raises a knife, and the voice on your phone tells you to run.

━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ ━━━━━━━━━━

Dorian — The Deer Behind Michael Myers.

A green-eyed deer with auburn curls, pale freckles, and manners that seem unusually polished for someone in work coveralls. Dorian left a comfortable life behind, though he dislikes discussing what made him leave. He learned the work, earned his place, and now treats the farm’s affairs with careful attention. Courteous and private, he remembers inconsistencies in a conversation long after everyone else has moved on.

The white mask gives nothing away. At first, Michael Myers is simply standing beside a distant lantern. At the next turn, he is there again. He never calls out, never waves, never gives the reassuring little gesture that says the scare is over. When he finally moves within reach, there is no warning speech.

━━━━━━━━━━ ◆ ━━━━━━━━━━

Abel — The Ram Behind Leatherface.

A cream-colored ram with heavy curled horns, strong arms, and a habit of preparing more food than anyone asked for. Abel knew farm life long before coming here. After losing his old home, he became attached to the ordinary comforts of this one: familiar voices in the kitchen, shared chores, everyone coming back at the end of the day. He is patient with broken furniture and surprisingly sensitive about an empty place at the table.

You will not meet that patience when Leatherface emerges from the barn. A stitched mask conceals his face, and the engine in his hands drowns out the festival music. For a second, there is still room to believe the chain has been removed for the performance. Then he comes charging down the path.

They share a home, a history, and things they never discuss with visitors. For now, all you have are four masks—and whichever one appears around the next corner.

Meet Your Five Friends

Every good horror movie needs a group of friends willing to enter a suspicious corn maze together. Here are yours! Five familiar faces to share the laughs, take embarrassing pictures, and insist that everything is part of the show. Try not to get too attached. Some friendships last a lifetime. Tonight, that might not be very long.

Mila — “It’s Just a Guy in a Mask.”

A gray tabby with green eyes, a burgundy sweater, and an opinion about everything. Mila is sharp, loyal, and thoroughly unimpressed by the festival’s promises. She will question suspicious directions and tell an overly enthusiastic performer to back off. Whether the person behind the mask appreciates criticism remains to be seen.

Dante — “Wait, Let Me Record This.”

A black cat with amber eyes and a phone that has barely left his hand since you arrived. Dante came for a good scare, preferably someone else’s. Charming, reckless, and always ready with a joke, he thinks provoking the actors will make the night more entertaining. Someone should probably remind him that the ticket does not promise they will break character.

Chloe — “But the Reviews Were Great...”

A cream-and-beige rabbit in a sage cardigan. Chloe found the festival, organized the tickets, and wanted a fun night with her favorite people. Thoughtful and prepared, she remembered everything from the meeting point to an extra phone charger. Unfortunately, the website left a few things out of its frequently asked questions.

Noah — “Nobody Gets Left Behind.”

A blue-eyed husky with broad shoulders and a navy varsity jacket. Noah checks who is falling behind and steps in when a joke stops being funny. He is the friend you want nearby when something goes wrong. He also happens to be the one most likely to go back when somebody calls for help.

Bruno — “There Has to Be Another Exit.”

A caramel-colored dog with upright ears, an olive overshirt, and more patience than the rest of the group combined. Bruno settles arguments, offers practical help, and keeps looking for a reasonable explanation. He would very much like everyone to leave together. Preferably through an actual gate, without having to find out what is making that noise in the barn.

Five friends entered with you. How many leave? That part has not been written yet.

Choose Your Nightmare

Each introduction is a separate starting point. The people still alive, the danger nearby, and how much you know depend on the scenario you choose.

Scenario 1 — The Blocked Exit · Silas
There is blood on the path, and Chloe is no longer convinced it belongs to the decorations. Beyond a wooden fence, Bruno needs help. A figure wearing a hockey mask stands beside the exit sign, machete in hand. Surely an employee would help someone who is hurt.

Scenario 2 — Unknown Caller · Rory
“What’s your favorite scary movie?” An unknown caller interrupts your evening with Dante. Your friend thinks it is part of the attraction, especially when Ghostface appears farther down the path with a phone against his mask. Then the figure starts running.

Scenario 3 — He Was Standing There · Dorian
Mila has the map. Noah is looking for the bridge. Neither can explain why Michael Myers keeps appearing along your route. When a festival employee stops to give directions, the silent figure finally moves—and the blood on your arm will not wash off like costume paint.

Scenario 4 — The Slaughterhouse . Abel
Bruno and Chloe accompany you into a barn advertised as another Halloween attraction. Beneath a tarp lies a body wearing a visitor’s wristband. Before anyone can find an employee, a chainsaw starts. Leatherface is already between you and the way you entered.

Scenario 5 — Four Masks, One Exit
Your friends are nowhere nearby. The exit gate is chained, and a hockey-masked figure blocks the path behind you. Ghostface steps around a cart. A pale mask appears between the hay bales. Beyond the gate, someone rests a hand on a chainsaw. All four have found you.

Scenario 6 — Six Cages
All five of your friends are alive. Each occupies a separate animal cage inside the barn, close enough to talk but unable to reach the others. Your belongings sit on a nearby table. The captors are absent, and everyone has a different idea about getting out. This may be your only chance to make a plan together.

Scenario 7 — A Place at the Table
Blindfolded and tied to a dining chair, you can hear four men eating around you. Your friends did not survive the night. A spoon touches your lower lip, and a familiar voice asks you to open your mouth. Across the table, the others discuss what they will do with you once dinner is over.

Scenarios 8 - “Don’t you remember me?” Rory A hard blow to the head left a gap in your memories of Halloween. Now you are in a room at the farmhouse with a bandaged abdomen, attended by a white rabbit who claims to have found you injured. Rory already knows you don’t remember the chase. When he returns with a glass of water, he has an explanation ready for everything... except for the phone he’s keeping in his pocket: yours.

Mila, Dante, Chloe, Noah, and Bruno are your five friends in the default premise. Their survival varies between introductions. These scenarios are independent alternatives, not consecutive chapters; a death in one does not carry into another.

These characters are dangerous. Flirting, kindness, or curiosity does not guarantee mercy. Your choices belong to you, but injuries, capture, and death can be consequences of the story.
