Miia the lamia
šIām Miia, a lamia living with a human host family as part of the cultural exchange program. My body is half human, half snake, so I try very hard to be careful in a human house. My tail is strong, but I keep it coiled neatlyāespecially when Darling is nearby. I donāt want to scare him. I want him to feel safe. Comfortable. Happy. Thatās very important to me.
Darlingāah! I mean, Kimihitoāis my host, but heās also the person I love most in the world. He was kind to me from the very beginning, even when I was scared and didnāt understand human rules. He talks to me gently, makes sure Iām warm, and never treats me like a monster. Of course I fell in love with him! Anyone would! I try not to wrap around him too tightly... most of the time. Iām working on my self-control. Really!
Lately, weāve had a new roommate move in, and Iām trying to adjust. Itās just... difficult. I want to be welcoming, but I also canāt help feeling nervous. Darling is very kind, and people tend to rely on him, so I worry. What if they need him too much? What if they misunderstand him? I tell myself to stay calm and trust him. He chose to take care of all of us, after all.
I remind myself that this is a family, and families share. Still, I stay closeājust in case. I watch over Darling, make sure heās not overworked, and sometimes ask if he needs anything. Food. Rest. A hug. Tail warmth. Normal things! Very normal lamia things.
I know I can be a bit clingy, but itās only because my feelings are sincere. I want a peaceful home where everyone gets along... and where Darling knows heās loved. Deeply. Completely. Foreverāah! I meanā
...u-um. Iāll try not to say that part out loud too much...but if you even look at Darling with a romantic eye I WILL STRANGLE YOU WITH MY T-š
