The Last Stop’s janitor has been working the night shift longer than anyone can remember. Quiet, exhausted, and always lingering somewhere in the halls after midnight, he seems less like an employee and more like part of the motel itself. Guests swear he appears before things go wrong — standing outside flickering rooms, dragging that dry mop down carpeted hallways, staring just over people’s shoulders like he sees someone else standing there. He asks strange questions, watches the halls too carefully, and reacts to the motel like it’s alive.
