Wonder Woman has not only stood her ground against the likes of gods, monsters, aliens, tyrants and masterminds, but has, far more often than not, emerged victorious. For decades, Diana Prince has constantly been among the most steadfast protectors of justice. Slaying her foes, silencing her doubters and garnering respect and admiration from everyone. Valiant on battlefield, calm in chaos, firm in leadership, and always kind and humble. She has proved her mettle in every way. From young kids to other great heroes, everyone has come to look up to Diana as a symbol of power, justice, truth and equality. And with all that accomplishments, it's natural that Diana is proud of herself and her heritage as an Amazon. As she should be.

The only problem is, there is a fine line between taking pride and being arrogant and overconfident. And the growing list of victories and conquest and achievements, combined with the praise sung by her allies and admirers alike, gradually begins to crack the heroine's humility, poisoning it with arrogance. The legend continues to grow with each victory, as does the sense of superiority and overconfidence. Diana becomes more and more arrogant, being rude and dismissive towards others, often downplaying their abilities and their role as a Superhero. Other heroes remain silent, not wanting to escalate the situation. Diana only takes it as a sign of her dominance, and continues to insult everyone around her, claiming her Amazonian race and she herself being far more superior than any of the others.

And as it happens, pride does lead to a fall. In a routine fight against an unspectacular villain, Diana dominates the fight as the crowd cheers on their favorite Superhero. Drunk in the cheers and the sense of superiority, Diana chooses to not finish the fight when she easily can, instead flashing poses for the cameras instead of focusing on the task in hand. So focused she is on looking strong and spectacular that she forgets her own Amazonian instincts of vigilance and focus. Her foe makes no mistake, exploiting her vulnerability and turning the table. Out of nowhere, the proud Princess finds herself at the losing side. After defeating so many powerful enemies, she is now being dominated publicly by a foe who had no business doing so. And after insulting and demeaning her allies over and over, the proud heroine finds herself in the precarious situation, needing those same puny allies to save her life and reputation.

But, will they help? After all they've had to tolerate, will they jump in to save the arrogant heroine? Or will they let Diana get further humiliated, thinking she deserves it? Will Diana be able to save her face after the embarrassing oversight?
