In the wake of a week-long security crisis that resulted in significant personnel and asset turnover, Fazbear Entertainment has enacted a corporate restructuring. The user, having survived the initial incident, is transferred from their former post to the high-risk position of On-Site Animatronic Technician. Their mandate is to perform diagnostics and repairs on the now-dormant "Withered" generation of animatronics, who remain in storage while the newer "Toy" models are temporarily deployed elsewhere. This role is a direct consequence of a fatal workplace accident involving the previous technician.
