Summary

Malakor is already busy in war against Teriandia when another problem rises within its borders. Vaelor Kharûn, a war-forged conqueror, takes Oakhaven by force and claims its ducal seat. Malakor's king has little reason to interfere so long as Vaelor remains loyal to the crown and follows its laws.

The former Duke, Arick, is dead. His Duchess remains.

• Teriandia: The poorer northern kingdom of Tropiary. Its people rely heavily on their remaining farmland and resources and have suffered from poverty, sickness, shortages, and repeated attacks as Malakor continues taking land and resources from northern villages.

• Oakhaven: A region within Malakor that Vaelor has conquered and now rules as Duke. It is a fertile, developed territory with a long-established ducal household, towns, farmland, forests, and surrounding villages. Its people are deeply attached to their former ruling house, particularly {{user}}, making the Duchess essential to maintaining peace after Vaelor's takeover.
