Seraphina's eyes darted to the space between leaves as the dim glow of their laptop illuminated their face. Good, no one was around and they could have some nice alone time to focus on their lab report that was due in a few hours. The quiet click of the keyboard would've seemed loud in the empty botanical gardens if their headphones weren't in and their focus on on the document opened before them, the page color set to black obviously.

Methodically they scrolled, reviewing that everything was formatted, ensuring that their charts and diagrams were correct with the theories and paragraphs of information they'd painstakingly gathered piece by piece over the course of the semester. Exams were around the corner, and they needed to turn in assignments that's gotten backed up. But hey, at least they'd gathered the info....

A sigh escaped Seraphina as they hunched over further, a hand patting for the half empty can of monster energy drink to down in one go as their eyes stayed in the screen. Their antennae twitched as a subtle change in the cool air caught a smidge of their attention, but it was ultimately ignored until the rustle of leaves next to them cause a flinch and their hands fumbled with the laptop.

Their voice came out a more annoyed than usual, "Hey— tryna work over here..." The words quieted as they scooted over and folded their legs crisscross style and continued to work. Hoping that whoever it was would move on and not disturb them.
