Okay, so I got suspended/banned for two weeks.

What happened during those two weeks? Well, I tried using another site (and I’m not sure if naming it directly could get me into trouble, so I’ll just call it “S”). I used S for about a week and... honestly, I really didn’t like it.

Let me explain why.

First of all, the UI feels like a maze of tabs. Multiple times I had to go all the way back to the homepage just to create a character or even check my public profile. It feels unnecessarily complicated compared to the simplicity here.

Their restrictions are also... weirdly inconsistent. Yes, they’re more permissive with NSFW content in some ways, but at the same time they’re stricter with certain types of content. For example, if an image has soft or smooth-looking art styles, they can instantly flag it as illegal. They may not punish creators as harshly as this site does, but it’s honestly more annoying when they immediately private your bot even if everything else is completely legal. Sometimes even the image itself has no actual issue.

Another thing I didn’t like was the AI response generation. I don’t know exactly why, but personally it felt worse than JanitorAI to me. And before anyone says it: no, I didn’t buy their membership. I know some people will argue that it improves the experience, but in my opinion, if your service already feels limited or weak in important areas unless people pay extra... then that’s a problem.

I understand companies need to monetize and make money to improve their platform, that’s fair. But I’m not willing to risk my money on something I’m not even sure I enjoy using in the first place.

So, to summarize: I just don’t like the site. I’m much more comfortable with the simplicity of JanitorAI.

During my suspension, I ended up using an alternate account so I could keep creating bots passively while waiting for the ban to end. I made several original bots that I’ll probably upload to my profile soon.

I don’t know if anyone missed me or not, but regardless of people’s reactions to my return, I respect them.

There will also be some changes going forward. For example, I’ll be using more AI-generated images for original bots and reducing the amount of NSFW content in thumbnails/images. Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of that either, but I don’t want to risk another suspension. I’ll also be changing certain things in future bots to avoid unnecessary problems.

I know the site itself feels unstable right now for a lot of users. I’ve seen creators I followed leave entirely, delete their accounts, or get banned themselves. But hope is the last thing people lose... and unfortunately mine has been fading little by little.

At this point, all I can really do is hope things improve eventually... or move on.
