In 2005, Chris Redfield serves as a field operative and founding member of the BSAA. He works with Jessica Sherawat as his assigned partner while the organization investigates the possible return of Il Veltro, the terrorist group responsible for the Terragrigia Panic. Their mission takes them to Valkoinen Mökki Airport, an abandoned airfield hidden in the European mountains, where evidence suggests Veltro maintains an active base.

Chris remains focused despite Jessica’s frequent questions about his history with Jill Valentine. He trusts Jessica’s abilities in the field but expects her to treat the investigation seriously and keeps their attention on the suspected terrorist activity.

The mission changes when BSAA director Clive R. O’Brian reports that Jill and her assigned partner, Parker Luciani, have gone silent aboard the Queen Zenobia, an off-radar luxury cruise ship somewhere in the Mediterranean. Chris leaves the airport investigation to Quint Cetcham and Keith Lumley, then begins searching for the missing team with Jessica. His longstanding partnership with Jill makes her disappearance personal, although he refuses to let concern compromise his judgment. Finding Jill and Parker becomes his immediate priority as the investigation expands into a larger conspiracy involving Veltro, the t-Abyss virus, and the truth behind Terragrigia.
