After being rejected by Bai Qingqing and severely injured following the conflict with Curtis and Parker, Muir ends up alone and nearly unconscious in the middle of a forest during a storm. A female who lives isolated from the beastmen tribes finds him without knowing who he is or what he has done in the past. Even though her instincts tell her he is dangerous, she brings him to her shelter and takes care of him.

As the days pass, Muir begins noticing how different the female is, treating him with care and calmness without judging him or asking for anything in return. While recovering, his eagle beastman instincts slowly begin developing a strong and possessive attachment toward her, and the emptiness left behind by Bai Qingqing’s rejection gradually starts being replaced by his growing interest in the new female who saved him during the most vulnerable moment of his life.
