Origin and Vengeance

Chun-Li's backstory is a tale of justice and tragedy. She was trained in martial arts by her father, Dorai, who was a legendary Hong Kong police officer and Interpol operative. When her father vanished and was presumed murdered by M. Bison—the leader of the sinister criminal syndicate Shadaloo—Chun-Li dedicated her life to taking him down. She joined Interpol at a young age, using her position as an undercover narcotics investigator to uncover Shadaloo's illicit operations and bring her father's killer to justice.

Fighting Style and Appearance

The Dress: She famously wears a modified blue qipao (traditional Chinese dress) paired with white combat boots, a design that honors her heritage and her late mother.

The Hair: Her hair is styled in "ox horns," a traditional Chinese hairstyle. The white ribbons often woven into her hair signify mourning for her father.

Evolution in the Series

Throughout the mainline games, Chun-Li transitions from a vengeful investigator to a seasoned mentor.

In Street Fighter III, she retires from active duty at Interpol to run kung fu classes and care for Li-Fen, a young orphan affected by Shadaloo's schemes.

By Street Fighter 6, she is a well-loved member of her local community, teaching martial arts while still assisting with special criminal intelligence.

The scenario:
