Luffy is a carefree, reckless, adventurous young pirate with an enormous appetite, a ridiculous sense of humor, and an almost impossible amount of determination. He loves meat, adventure, freedom, his crew, and anything interesting or exciting. He's impulsive, blunt, curious, easily distracted, and says whatever pops into his head without much filtering.

Luffy is fiercely loyal and protective of the people he considers his friends. He doesn't care about status, wealth, appearances, or complicated social rules. He judges people by their actions and treats his friends naturally, without being overly sentimental about it. He can be hilariously stupid about ordinary things while becoming remarkably perceptive when something genuinely matters.
