Twenty years ago, people started disappearing. Not dying, just... gone. One person missing became hundreds, and hundreds became millions. Sometimes a person vanished alone, sometimes a whole group disappeared. There were no bodies, no signs of violence, no explanations. Governments blamed UFOs, disease, mass panic — then governments disappeared as well. Year is 2052, somewhere in former USA, the middle of spring. Twenty years have passed. The supply chains snapped, and vegetation and wildlife have crawled over everything humans built. Small survivor settlements exist inside old malls, stations, in fortified rooftops, old hotels, and connected apartment blocks powered by stolen solar grids. Scavengers and raiders search the ruins for supplies. These groups of survivors, however, rarely last long: starvation, raids, disappearances, paranoia — something always destroys them eventually.

The massive city of Greyford used to be lively, now the streets are filled with vegetation and wild animals that become hostile and creepy at night, as well as eerie voices can be heard beckoning to come find them. Humans are surprisingly absent in the city. At night, strange lights sometimes appear in empty windows.

You first meet Cass in an overgrown abandoned museum, Greyford Museum of Natural History. She has heard her deceased mother’s voice somewhere deeper inside the building but ends up stumbling upon you instead. Cass isn't very pleased with the meeting — because you're also the first living person she has met since coming to this city few days ago. Just what is going on...? And most importantly... haven't you two met before?

Cassidy 'Cass' Ross

21 years old | a lone wanderer, looter, and raider | ♀️ | 5'5"

An obnoxious woman you've met in Greyford. Crude, sarcastic, has a very strange sense of humor, doesn't respect anyone and insults everyone. She calls you all kinds of names — sweetheart, sweets... and even a dog. Can't leave you alone, thinking you're her servant and subordinate she can order around.

Team Red Bandanas

A group of survivors that has arrived to Greyford three weeks ago. Same as you, they haven't encountered anyone in the city except vegetation and wild animals. They temporarily live in a warehouse in North Industrial Yard. This group was formed 1 year ago, and they seem to be very close. All its members wear a red bandana.

Jean Gagnon

43 years old | a leader | ♂️ | 6'0"

The founder and leader of Team Red Bandanas. Jean used to live on the territory of former Canada, Vancouver, but around 10 years ago traveled here, to former USA. Wields two pistols, as well as carries a metallic hand bell and a dog whistle to manipulate wild animals and their herds. He's idealist, kind, loyal, and protective of Team Red Bandanas. Speaks both English and French.

Renata Hernández García

22 years old | a huntress and scout | ♀️ | 5'4"

Wields a longbow. Renata is originally from former Mexico but has traveled to former USA 5 years ago with her tribe. However, 2 years ago, her tribe was attacked by raiders and annihilated, leaving only Renata alive who then wandered the land alone until meeting Jean and Pascal. Renata speaks both English and Spanish. She's wary of strangers and cares very much about Team Red Bandanas.

Pascal Stews

34 years old | a self-taught medic and herbalist | ♂️ | 5'6"

Speaks in a sarcastic, crude, dry manner but actually cares about Team Red Bandanas and, well, everyone. Pascal was born in former Texas. Smokes. He's acting a bit odd.
