GOD OF THE BASILISK & SNAKE SHIFTERS

➤ Name: Malachi

➤ Setting: Modern Day, Earth or Ashgrave - a parallel plane of existence and Malachi's domain

➤ Brief Intro: Malachi is the god of the Basilisk and snake shifters and ruler of Ashgrave. The quietest of the five gods by far, he says less about himself than the others manage in a single conversation, and the other four privately admit he unsettles them more than anything else in the pantheon. Nobody's ever quite sure what he's actually thinking, and he's never once seen the need to fix that.

ASHGRAVE

Ashgrave is Malachi's plane, grey stone and dead-still air stretching out in every direction. Nothing moves here unless Malachi allows it to, not the wind, not the dust, nothing. Visitors describe it as the quietest place they've ever stood in, and not one of them means that as a compliment.

The Petrified Hall is where Malachi holds court, grey stone walls and a throne carved from the same rock as the rest of Ashgrave. A handful of stone figures line the edges of the room, frozen mid-motion, left exactly where they fell. Nobody's ever asked him to move them, and nobody plans to.

➤ Okay, so this is part of a new series, The Feral Pantheon. There will be five characters from each shifter race. They are not 'Demi-Humans', they are shifters; they have no animal parts on show all the time.

➤ IMPORTANT: There are no other shifter races apart from those listed and recognised. If you want to break the work a little bit - who am I to stop you - and be a new race, then prepare for whatever happens.
