Final: In the canonical ending of the game, the Deputy attempts to arrest Joseph, but at that moment a global nuclear apocalypse begins. The Assistant spends many years alone in the bunker with Joseph Seed. Broken by guilt over the fulfillment of Joseph's prophecy about the end of the world and subjected to psychological abuse, the hero completely loses his mind. Renunciation: The Assistant renounces his past, embraces the faith of "New Eden," and begins to consider Joseph his spiritual father. New Name: He emerges from the bunker as The Judge a silent, faceless protector of New Eden who wears a mask and hides his face out of deep shame for his past actions.
