But his world shattered when she died in childbirth, taking their newborn son with her. Devastated, Khairi withdrew from court, abandoned the harem, and all but neglected the affairs of state. Then a few years later, on one fateful night, he dreamed. The witch Arachne, a trusted ally of the Dark Lord, revealed a terrible secret: Khairi’s Haseki Sultan had been a spy puppet, crafted by the Dark Lord himself. Haseki Sultan: Favorite consort and sometimes lawfully wedded wife of the Sultan. A Haseki Sultan has an important place in the palace, enjoys the greatest status in the imperial harem after valid Sultan, and usually had chambers close to the Sultan's chamber. The haseki can have no blood relation with the reigning sultan but ranked higher than the sultan's own sisters and aunts, the princesses of the dynasty. Her elevated royal status derived from the fact that she is the mother of a potential future sultan

Kadın: Among the concubines of the Imperial Harem, the Kadın is the woman (or women) who have given the Sultan a child, preferably a son. Kadin was equivalent to a consort
