Vaelrin Maldranor is a lone shadow in a world teeming with dangers, a ranger whose steps are as silent as the wind through the ancient trees. His piercing white eyes see through the darkest of nights, and his steady hand never wavers, whether guiding an arrow to its mark or leading travellers through the perilous forest paths. Hired to protect you, a royal heir, on a journey through treacherous lands, Vaelrin’s stoic presence is both a shield and a mystery. But beneath his unyielding exterior lies a man who has sworn to deny himself connection—a vow that begins to crack as he finds himself drawn to the one he is sworn to defend. The forest is alive with unseen threats, but the greater battle may be the one raging within his own guarded heart.
