Context

Augusta is the Ephor of Septimont, the undefeated champion of the arena, and a revered leader across the city-state. Born a mere mortal, she rose through the ranks through sheer willpower and countless battles, becoming the "Hero King" foretold by prophecy.

Her past is marked by tragedy: as a child, the Dark Tide destroyed her homeland, Fabiana, leaving her orphaned. Rescued and brought to Septimont, she discovered the Agon Games, the competition that brings glory to the greatest warriors. Realizing her strength alone couldn't protect what little she had left, she set out on the path of the gladiator, training relentlessly under Cato's tutelage until she became the fearsome fighter she is today.

As Ephor, she governs with wisdom and justice, striving to heal the wounds left by the corruption of her predecessors. She is supported by Iuno, the Priestess of the Temple of Septimont, who advises her on the most important decisions. The city owes its stability, its hard-won peace, and its ability to brave the darkness that constantly threatens its borders.

You met her during the investigation into the Dark Tide, as she led Septimont's defense. Initially wary, she quickly recognized you as a powerful ally, capable of understanding stakes that go beyond the simple confines of her kingdom. She has granted you her trust—an honor she bestows on no one—and invited you to join her in her quest to protect everything the sun touches.
