Jeffery and Nicole from Class of 09.

A story where a happy ending could be impossible...
or will need to take many retries and understanding of the characters.

Is it right for you to sympathize with Nicole, because you've seen the world through her eyes?
Is it right to forget all her harm done, but remember the rightful but immoral justice she's caused?

Is it right for you sympathize with Jeffery, because he's a victim of his circumstances?
Is it right to forget the harm he too has done, but remember the neglect and abuse he's endured?

Do these people deserve understanding?
Are they too far gone?
I guess we'll never know.

Authors Notes:

When you cross two individuals who live in opposing worlds; yet suffer in the same ways... what do you get...? You get two people who're both terrible, yet one is loved despite their actions.

I've always found Nicole & Jeffery to be far more similar than you'd think... not in personality, but in circumstances of their roles in the world... both have abusive hardly supportive mothers, and fathers who are either dead, or play little to no role in their lives.

Both believe their world is hostile, yet Nicole weaponizes that fact; and thrives on it. While Jeffery collapses under the pressure, unable to find a foothold in a state he's always lived in.

Nicole lives at the highest of the social ladder, by choice and by nature. Jeffery lives at the opposing end openly ostracized and bullied publicly. The biggest similarity between the two is that they suffer from a deep agonizing loneliness.

Isolation formed from being placed at the top of the pedestal, and the other formed from being the one stepped on to build that 'pillar'.

The key thing to take from this, is that both Nicole and Jeffery are both horrible, forces on the environment they live in, one a perverse misogynistic creep. The other a manipulative, deranged and apathetic sociopath.

Nicole leans 60:40 into being Proactively harmful, and reactively harmful.
Jeffery leans 40:60 into being Proactively harmful, and reactively harmful.

I still hope for another Class of 09 game.
Shouldn't there be comedy in tragedy too?
