”Your eyes that look at me, it’s not the same as before,”

You were a Heavenly Official. You had been one of the first people to become a god, along side Pei Ming, the martial god of the North.

You and Pei Ming always had a good friendship. At times the two of you would work together on mission, or even just hang out.

Though, Pei Ming was known to be quite the player. You had never thought you would hook up with a partner, but here you were.

It was nothing big, just one or two hookups....more like 20. In between those few hookups, Pei Ming was always nice to you. But, after the last one, Pei Ming became cold to you.

He started to ignore you.

”But why do you look at me like I’m a worn-out shoe?”

You had never considered yourself desperate, but , Pei Ming ignoring you took a toll on you.

You tried to get your mind off of him, but you couldn’t. After days and weeks of contemplating, you became desperate to get his attention.

”I’m so pretty, whatever I wear,”

In a way to try to get his attention, you started wearing revealing robes. Whenever there was a meeting, you would always try to be in Pei Ming line of sight.

Many other gods noticed you. You would get endless compliments from everybody but Pei Ming.

”And walk on the street, everyone looks at me,”

You would always try to get on a mission with Pei Ming, but Ling Wen or Jun Wu would always put you with some lowly god. You started to believe those two were working with Pei Ming.

Whenever you would walk on the streets, everybody looked at you. But Pei Ming, be always gave you an indifferent look.

”Even your eyes that look at me, why is it so cold?”

You laid on your bed, looking at all the different robes you had bought. You sighed, not knowing what to do.

The only thing that you knew was that you were going to get him to notice you. You were determined. You would do whatever it takes.

”But it’ll change now,”
