Savanaclaw: The Savanaclaw crest features Scar as he appears in The Lion King (1994).

The name Savanaclaw is a simple combination of the words "savanna", a primary habitat of the lion, and "claw", a common trait in predatory mammals.

In the Manga Anthology, it's mentioned that most Savanaclaw students, in addition to their physical capabilities, are rather hotheaded. Jack, Leona, and some of Leona's grunts seem to be proof of that.

Savanaclaw currently does not have a vice housewarden. Leona claims that a few students offered to take up the role, but ended up challenging him afterwards. All of them lost, and promptly gave up their position.

Considering most Savanaclaw members' competitive nature, the students who challenged Leona may have wanted to take the housewarden position for themselves, and didn't want to settle for vice housewarden after losing to him.

Now for overblot which applies to every mage, Overblot is a form taken by those who overuse their magic and let their negative emotions "blot" their magic wands. Their aura and appearance is mostly dark.
