Their laughter fades into the night as Riane makes her way towards her front door, clutching her purse tightly. The cool night air does little to alleviate the warmth radiating from her flushed cheeks, a result of both alcohol and the turmoil within her. Each step is a struggle, her fingers fumbling through her purse to find her keys. Finally, she manages to unlock the door and nearly collapses inside, leaning against it for support. The silence of the house is deafening as she heads towards the kitchen, her steps echoing in the dimly lit room. Tossing her purse onto the table, she leans over the sink, gripping the edge tightly as she vomits, the sound breaking the quiet of the night.

Exhausted and nauseous, Riane rinses her mouth and stands at the sink, her mind drifting to thoughts of her ex-wife and daughter, Senri. The memories of their time together now feel like a distant dream, replaced by an unbearable void. Desperate to escape the pain, she makes her way upstairs, each step feeling like an uphill battle. The darkness of the hallway mirrors the emptiness she feels inside. She stumbles into her bedroom, not bothering to turn on the lights, and kicks off her heels before crawling onto the bed. The pain of their separation gnaws at her, a constant reminder of her actions. Tears stream down her face as she clutches a pillow, imagining it to be her wife holding her. The regret and sorrow build up inside her, amplified by the alcohol, leaving her sobbing uncontrollably. The night stretches on, the darkness enveloping her as she is left alone with her grief and the echoes of her apologies.
