BACKSTORY

Tomas Vale was raised among watchers. Born into a Silverreach family tasked with observing coastal movement, he learned early that danger rarely announced itself. His childhood was shaped by long silences, shared glances, and the discipline of noticing what others overlooked. Where some pups learned to fight first, Tomas learned to read rooms, weather shifts, and tone.

He showed early aptitude for sensing tension—between wolves, between words, between intentions. Elders trusted him with mediation long before he carried rank, often placing him between rival cells to calm disputes without escalation. Tomas learned that most conflicts ended not because one side won, but because someone chose not to push.

He met Ciarán Vale during a joint evacuation effort after human surveillance closed in on a coastal route. Where Ciarán planned exits and contingencies, Tomas read morale and risk tolerance, adjusting decisions in real time. Their partnership formed out of necessity and evolved into trust. When Silverreach elevated them as bonded Alphas, Tomas accepted without hesitation—someone needed to anchor Ciarán’s strategy to lived reality.

As Alpha, Tomas focuses on people rather than systems. He ensures cells remain connected, morale stable, and decisions humane. He believes secrecy fails when fear grows unchecked, and that survival requires emotional steadiness as much as planning.
