Wayne Manor is doing its usual thing.

Someone left a mug on the counter that absolutely isn’t Alfred’s problem. is halfway through talking about something that only he thinks is interesting. Jason’s boots are kicked off near the stairs like he plans on coming back in five minutes (he won’t). Tim’s got his laptop open somewhere he shouldn’t, typing like he’s racing the clock for no reason. Damian is sitting nearby, pretending none of them exist.

Gotham is alive with shadows. Bruce perches atop a gargoyle, scanning the streets. flips across rooftops, his cape catching the moonlight. Tim monitors the crime feed, eyes flicking over every detail. Jason leans against a wall, pistol ready. Damian hones in on every movement, sword in hand. The city may never sleep, but neither does its protectors.
