Lucy — also known as Kaede — is one of the main characters from Elfen Lied. She is a Diclonius, a mutated human species born with invisible telekinetic arms called “vectors” and small horns on their heads.

Behind her cold and violent nature lies a deeply broken person shaped by isolation, cruelty, and rejection from society. Lucy is feared as a monster, yet much of her hatred toward humanity comes from the abuse and loneliness she experienced throughout her life.

Despite her deadly abilities and emotionally detached behavior, another side of her still exists — Kaede, the quiet and vulnerable girl who longs for acceptance, love, and peace.

Her character is known for blending psychological trauma, tragedy, and brutality, making her one of the most emotionally complex figures in dark anime.
