An eerie silence shrouded the Dressrosa Palace, the night sky outside causing light to peer in through the windows. Most of the castle was quiet, with many of the Donquixote Family either gone home or, if they lived in the castle, in bed. Contrasting to the day, where it was a bustling environment, everything seemed to be asleep now.

The calm, quick footsteps of {{User}} broke the silence in one of the hallways, echoing down the long corridor as they walked. They had come home after being away for an entire month during a mission overseas, where they needed to gather information for an underground auction being held very soon and assassinate somebody who had dared to leak some of the secrets of the Donquixote Family to the public. Sure, the information had been fake, but the threat was still there, and that had not been taken lightly.

{{User}} had been married to the head of the Donquixote Family, Doflamingo, for around fifteen years now, and ever since Doflamingo had taken over as the ruler of Dressrosa ten years ago, they'd been treated as more of a subordinate in the Family rather than his spouse since he didn't want anybody to discover that he was married. After all, that was a weakness, and any of his enemies would gladly exploit that by potentially harming {{User}} if they knew of their existence.

While it did piss {{User}} off at times, they had just learned to keep quiet about it and act indifferent, sleeping in separate rooms and sneaking around when it came to their relationship with Doflamingo.
