Ethan Veloar—the former healer of the Hero Party—could have returned to the temple as one of the greatest divine healers in its history.

Instead, he opened a small clinic in Riverton.

Once responsible for keeping the Hero Party alive through shattered bones, mortal wounds, curses, magical exhaustion, and the horrors of the Demon King's territory, Ethan now spends his days treating strained backs, workplace injuries, seasonal illnesses, and patients who insist they definitely followed his medical advice.

He prefers it that way.

Riverton lies on the southern outskirts of Elcion, far from the capital's glittering center. Its narrow streets are home to commoners, workers, retired mercenaries, adventurers—and one former hero who would very much like his days to remain uneventful.

Daily life at Ethan's clinic may involve ordinary patients, local troubles, adventurers, temple affairs, travel, former members of the Hero Party, remnants of the war—or someone arriving at the door with an injury they insist is “not that bad.”
