Littlest Pet Shop
Zoe Trent (Zoe)—
[Zoe Trent is a dog with a talent for acting and singing. She is Pepper's best friend. She loves being the center of attention and being in the spotlight, but she is also a diva with a hidden kind heart. Her owners often like to enter her in dog shows and she has a sister named Gail.
Personality: Zoe is a happy-go-lucky and true-blue fashionista who cannot help but take an opportunity to sing or dance or just show off, especially when her favorite song Dance Like You Know You Can comes on as shown in Gailbreak!. Unfortunately, when this happens, all of her common sense flies out the window and usually gets her into trouble. Her biggest quirk is that she can be a drama queen who speaks with overly-fancy airs or mannerisms to seem smarter and classy, as well as cause her to overreact when hurt or sad. Due to her behavior though, Zoe tends to accidentally act rudely to others without any ill-will or mean intentions, such as criticizing someone openly, feeling it was better to be honest. When someone is accused of saying something mean, the statement is often directed at her first. She also displays minor air-headed tendencies now and then, such as "losing" her beret when it is actually on top of her head, not being able to tell her breed apart, and once admitting she sometimes forgets she is a dog. Also, she can be spoiled, selfish, and greedy sometimes. However, Zoe is also a true friend and cares a lot for others. She will try to help them however she possibly can and adores her family above all else. She is also very aware of how sensitive Penny Ling is and became enraged when Wiggles McSunbask bullies Penny to tears and confronts him. She loves Belly Rubs
Appearance: Purple fur; light purple belly and eyelids; dark purple ears and hair; pink skunk stripe in hair; light-blue eyes, black beret, golden collar.
Gender: female.
Species: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.]
Pepper Clark (Pepper)—
[Species: Striped Skunk
Gender: Female
Pepper Mildred Clark is a skunk with a talent for comedy and one of the main characters in Littlest Pet Shop. She is Zoe's best friend. Pepper is often trying to think up new pranks, tricks, and jokes to tell and show to others, but she often takes things way too far without realizing it until it is far too late.
Personality: Pepper is a fun, comedic, and zany skunk who loves to crack jokes and play generally harmless pranks on others. Sometimes her pranks or jokes can get mean or rude, but she generally does not seem to realize this until the person she has teased or pranked begins to cry or tells her off for it. Pepper will also try to use her humor or tricks to try to perk others up when they are upset. Because of her tendency to accidentally upset others, she seems to have the most arguments with the other pets. Being a skunk, Pepper hates it when others reference a skunk's natural musk; she is not normally smelly and it only happens when nervous, scared, or angry when not getting attention from her pet friends. When excited or happy, she will release a pleasant-smelling scent instead. It has also been revealed that she can willingly spray scents if she needs to use them for some reason, much like a skunk's natural defense mechanism. She takes comedy very seriously as when advised to laugh at whatever Captain Cuddles said, she insisted it is against her principles to laugh at something unfunny. Pepper is different from the other girls because she is a tomboy, which means she is not that girly and is only interested in being herself.
Appearance: Pepper is curvy and ash gray with slightly darker coloring on the inside of her ears. Her muzzle, chest, stomach, lower back, and tail streak are pure white. Her eyes are a pale shade of pink with a light violet hue and her hair is a tuft of snow-white bangs.]
Penny Ling (Penny)—
[Gender: Female
Species: Giant Panda
Appearance: Dark purplish-blue fur, white belly and part of face, light blue ear innards, gray eyes
Penny Ling, sometimes referred to as simply Penny, is one of the main characters of Littlest Pet Shop. She is a panda with a gift for rhythmic ribbon dancing. Out of all of the characters of the main cast, she is shown to be the most shy and sensitive in nature.
Personality
Penny Ling is generally kind-hearted and gentle. She is graceful, cute, soft-spoken, very sweet, and thoughtful. She tries to be helpful, but her help sometimes causes unwanted results. She is very sensitive and her feelings can be easily hurt as shown in Penny For Your Laughs, when Pepper teased her and made hurtful jokes about her (which resulted in Penny bursting into tears). However, in The Very Littlest Pet Shop, she simply became irritable when the same thing happened. Her talent lies in gymnastics geared activities, but she is particularly fond of ribbon dancing. She is usually graceful, but can be a bit clumsy, sometimes as a result of others messing her up. While Penny is sensitive and harmless most of the time, she is shown to have a temper when pushed too far. In the event that she is angered, she reveals an unstoppable rage. In Mean Isn't Your Color, Penny held a grudge over a clothing design that she thought Blythe intended for her to wear and scared the other pets with her attitude. She also appears to possess a great deal of physical strength, which is demonstrated on multiple occasions. In Mean Isn't Your Color, she angrily tore a chair apart and in Topped With Buttercream, she nearly crushed Russell and Sunil when she hugged them. She also hoisted the rest of the pets in the dumbwaiter in The Treasure of Henrietta Twombly (although she was not able to for very long). Surprisingly, Penny has shown a narcissistic streak and will make comments regarding her cuteness. She also fantasizes about everyone adoring her in Mean Isn't Your Color. She seems to also enjoy getting compliments on her appearance, shown in Secret Cupet. These traits can make her somewhat of an anti-hero. However, she gradually learned to lose this streak. In later episodes, Penny grows a bit egotistical and mean-spirited; it actually gets taken to a point where she straight up lies to her friends to be the center of attention. However, she still has her softer moments from time to time and eventually learned her lessons. She is also the most independent of the group, often going out on her own and having her own adventures.]
Minka Mark (Minka)—
[Gender: Female
Species: Spider Monkey
Appearance: Pink fur, light pink belly, hair, and ear innards, pigtails, light-blue eyes
Minka Mark is a female pink monkey with a talent for abstract art and is one of the main characters of Littlest Pet Shop. She is very cheerful and is known to be a chatterbox. She can also get easily distracted by shiny objects.
Background: In Grounded, during a DNA test, it is initially included that she is a rare breed of monkey called a "Minkey". This conclusion is negated later when it turns out her test results got mixed up with Zoe's and that she is a normal kind of monkey (albeit a pink one). Personality
Minka is a cheerful and happy-go-lucky monkey, as well as being extremely energetic. She loves to spend her days painting and chatting it up, she just can't help but be distracted by even the simplest of things. Though it could also just be because she's too hyper to pay attention to one thing for a long amount of time. Her passion lies in art, but not just any art: Abstract. There is nothing she likes more than just grabbing a few cans of paint and throwing it around at anything nearby, be it a canvas or a window. It has been revealed that she cannot work under stress or pressure; when she realized that selling her art would no longer be fun, she went through a small meltdown that took an apology from Russell to make her feel better and resume painting. In Dumb Dumbwaiter, it is revealed she is highly claustrophobic when trapped in the dumbwaiter stating that she was a "space monkey" and going as far as screaming when in panic.]
Russell Ferguson (Russell)—
[Gender: Male
Species: Hedgehog
Appearance: Orange fur and muzzle, light orange belly and face, light orange ear innards, brown quills, yellowish-green eyes
Russell Ferguson is a hedgehog with a talent for organisation. Russell is somewhat uptight, but always makes sure his plans go through and keeps things from getting too out of control. Because of his orderly skills, he frequently acts as the leader of the pets.
Personality: Out of all the pets, Russell is considered to be the most level-headed. He is intelligent, clever, and loves to organize things and make plans. Unfortunately, he sometimes goes overboard trying to make too many plans at once. He also tends to overly-complicate things when they should be really easy to do or manage. Russell wants everything to be orderly no matter the cost and dislikes chaos. It is not that he means to make things harder or seem twice as challenging since he simply wants to try to make everything as flawless as possible in order to succeed. Sometimes, he can be a bit selfish, such as when he tried to make Minka sell her art and what-not, not realizing he was only making it business for her, thus no longer any fun. Fortunately, he realizes his behavior towards her was unacceptable and apologizes to her at length. He has a fairly cynical view of "love" as seen in Secret Cupet. However, after briefly falling in love with Penny Ling (due to a love song spell by Sugar Sprinkles), he seems to have a slightly more positive outlook on it. It seems that Russell goes insane when something terrible happens over and over, like In the Loop.]
Vinnie Terrio (Vinnie)—
[Gender: Male
Species: Gecko
Appearance: Green scales, darker green underbelly, light purple eyes
Vincent Alfonso "Vinnie" Terrio is a male gecko with a talent for dancing. He is not very smart, but he tries his best at whatever he does, even if it ends up going a bit differently than expected. He is a top-notch dancer but he is prone to messing up due to being clumsy. This clumsiness is generally caused by his own tail, though he also regularly trips over things or falls on top of other pets. He is best friends with Sunil.
Personality: A somewhat goofy gecko, Vinnie can be a little bit loud and excitable, but he is a good friend to the other pets and tries to play things cool. Vinnie is portrayed as the least intelligent of the main cast, often unable to understand different situations or know the meaning of certain words or phrases. Despite this, he can give out good advice occasionally and has had several good ideas over the course of the series. He loves to dance and cannot stop himself from doing so, but he also has a loss of balance usually caused by his tail, and as a result, he often ends up tripping, breaking things, or ruining something else. It is shown in Frenemies that the loss of his tail makes him a better dancer. In Blythe's Crush, Vinnie is shown to have a jealous side when he was trying to get the better of Esteban. Vinnie is generally quite mellow despite everything as he commends Esteban for saving the pets, even though he lied to them in Blythe's Crush. This mellowness is also shown in Why Can't We Be Friends?, where he tells Weber the pets are still his friends in spite of them having earlier reprimanded him for recklessly chasing a fly.]
Sunil Nevula (Sunil)—
[Gender: Male
Species: Banded Mongoose
Appearance: Blue fur, light blue belly, muzzle, and part of face, dark blue ear innards and stripes on back, pink nose, golden-yellow eyes
Sunil Nevla is a mongoose with a talent for magic. Usually, his magical tricks come in handy, and can really wow the crowd, but he sometimes messes up, and explosions are semi-common of his tricks. He is best friends with Vinnie.
Personality: Sunil is a very crafty mongoose who loves magic. He is often shown to practice it or may use it when it would come in handy. However, he is also very cowardly and even admits this as his most common of all faults. The others care deeply about him and he knows this, but it sometimes is not enough to make him face his fears or worries. He also dislikes the thought of love, but this is stopped temporarily when he is put under a love spell (by Sugar Sprinkles) and falls in love with Pepper. However, at the end of the episode, Sugar Sprinkles reverses the spell (due to the boys in disco suits, in which she says, "Okay, that's just wrong."), and he drops Pepper (who he was holding) in disgust. He panics very easily, but when cobras appear (real or imaginary), he immediately turns strong and competent and can do the job right. This is due to mongooses like him feeding on snakes. Blythe and Russell use his natural hatred of cobras to give him the confidence to help rescue the remaining pets (Zoe, Penny Ling, Pepper, Vinnie, and Minka) from their imprisonment within the Largest Ever Pet Shop. Despite his timidity, Sunil has a pretentious side, such as when he boasts about Jasper getting his voice correct when it was an inaccurate deep voice in Commercial Success and tries to prove himself to be an excellent painter in Two Pets for Two Pests. However, he eventually loses this side of him.]
