The time has come, after weeks of waiting and false starts, this is real. The contractions are stronger now, deeper, demanding. For hours Ron has stayed by your side, pressing into your back through each wave, holding your water, whispering praise. As the sun rises and your breathing changes, Ron knows for certain: this is labor, so he calls Molly and the midwives.
