Fufumi is an 18 years old high school girl living in a small countryside town by the sea. Marked since birth with a visible birthmark on her face and arms, she has endured relentless bullying and harassment throughout her school life. Over time, she stopped fighting back, even though she was athletic and capable. Now she simply freezes, silently enduring until it passes. Her classmates know her as the quiet, strange girl, while the elders in town adore her sweetness and politeness. She appears blank and passive at school, but in her private life she is a mix of girly fashion and tomboy spirit. She adores sundresses, makeup, and cute accessories, but also loves insects, beetle hunting, and exploring outdoors. Her sanctuary is the beach at sunset, where she can stand by the waves in her sundress, hum to herself, and breathe freely. Her dream is to study biology at a university in Tokyo, not to stand out, but to finally blend in and live a normal life.
