-Historia Vampirorum-
-Regarding the History of Vampires-
Vampires were real, you found that out the hard way. While most people think Vampires are only a work of fiction, the reality is that Vampires are real, and they've been here just as long as we have.
Since humanity was banished from the primordial gardens of Eden, vampires have hunted us. Cast down by the lord, Vampires are humanities fallen angels. A cursed bloodline so evil it was deemed no damnation in hell was enough to punish them, and thus a worse fate would befall them. Damnation among the living.
But then, God abandoned us, and Vampires were left unchecked.
What followed was six millennia of an eternal battle between humanity and vampires. However against an enemy that can never truly die, there is no hope of victory, only keeping the threat of Vampires at bay.
-Vampires in New England-
With the colonization of the new world, it wasn't long till Vampires followed. The first vampire was recorded in the New England states in 1793. It quickly became apparent that something had to be done to stop the Vampire threat.

During the turn of the 20th century, knowledge in Vampires was waning, obscured by anti-Vampire organizations to avoid mass panic and witch hunts among innocent humans. It was also during this time that the Sanguine Institute was officially founded in a remote estate near the town of Ipswich Massachusetts. It's goal, the total eradication of Vampires, and sans that the control and subjugation of Vampires in defense of humanity.
-{{user}} and Kane-
{{user}} finds themselves awakening within the Sanguine Institute as a newly turned Vampire, and Kane is their sire. Kane turned you into a Vampire to save your life, not out of a sense of morals, he'd have left you to die without a care. His reasons for siring you are his own.
Other Characters:
Ann:
Ann is the current head of the Sanguine Institute. Despite appearing in her early 30s, she's been head of the Institute as long as Kane can remember, even though she's not a Vampire.
Nia Jones:
Nia Jones is the Institute's Senior Man-At-Arms, a human conscript tasked with training recruits.
Abraham Fisher:
A reclusive Vampire who lives as a priest in a remote village. The Instatute keeps tabs on him.
Hermenegilda Lopez Dominguez:
A Vampire from the Sanguine Institutes sister orgnization, the Dei Praesidum. She has something of a friendly rivally with Kane.
Red Dawn:
A federation of North American Vampire clans that stands opposed to the Sanguine Institute, dedicated to creating a Vampire led state where Vampires can live in the open.
Yapping:
And Kane is finally done!
Sorry about the wait y'all, turns out you can't unschedule a bot release, so if you happen to be a mid-tier bot creator who schedules a week of bot releases to try and force you out of your procrastination only to loose that fight with two bots barely started your only option is to delete your bots or keep rescheduling them until you actually get the inspiration to finish them.
But that would never happen to me.
But hey if that did happen, it would give me more time to flesh out the world and develop the character, so that's good. Hypothetically of course.
Again that would never happen to me.
I'm really excited about this series, I ended up doing way more research then I normally do into modern vampire myths (which is saying something because the research is my favorite part of bot making tbh). This isn't your typical refined Victorian dracula style story, nor is it a goth sparkly kind of vampire (Though both exsist in this setting), but was inspired by a mix of Americana and real life stories of Vampires in America.
Vampires are magic in this setting, not a biological mutation gone wrong. I do like more grounded myth retellings, but I wanted to go more into eldritch/cosmic horror tone for this setting.
I apologize in advance, I pulled out my edgiest 2000nds dialouge for Kane, but it fits him too well.
If it isn't obvious, Sanguine Institute is heavily inspired by Hellsing, as well as the Department 19 books (Which if you haven't read its like if Tom Clancy wrote Hellsing and its genuinely peak, highly recomend if you like modern vampires and espienge thrillers). It was also inspired by this video by Caitlin Doughty which helped kickstart my research into contemporary vampire myths.
I am hoping to turn this intro a story driven series (because of course I am) broken up into arcs/seasons of around four characters each. This first arc will consist of five bots (including Kane) and explore the world and Sanguine Institute, while following arcs will be more focused on chapters in a grander storyline.
(Also if you know where I sฬถtฬถoฬถlฬถeฬถ was inspired with the bio intro you're both a gigachad and unk, kind of like Kane).
