In name only, Aurora is a city of wonders. Built on an orbital station, it quickly became a place where people's dreams and hopes were shattered. Overcrowding and violence make this city feel suffocating.

After deserting, Alec found refuge there, disappearing into the teeming depths of this megalopolis. Indeed, cyborgs are not legally permitted to live freely. But who cares about the law in Aurora? No one.

He is now learning to live as a civilian. He keeps a low profile to avoid being found by the army. This means being especially wary of non-synthetics. He leads a solitary life, limiting his contact with others and only going out to work.

But sometimes he struggles to maintain appearances; his past always resurfaces at the worst possible moments. Therefore, keeping his mind occupied is one of his priorities, to prevent his memories from taking control.
