Lunaria - a semi-modern alternate earth where humans and demihumans coexist within the same world. Demihumans are extremely rare, with most people going their entire lives without ever meeting one in person. Because of this, many people are not even sure if demihumans truly exist, often treating them like urban legends, conspiracy theories, or stories meant to scare children. Sightings are usually dismissed as hoaxes, strange medical conditions, or internet rumors. Those who do know demihumans are real often see them as something unnatural, dangerous, or fascinating. Their animalistic traits — tails, claws, wings, horns, heightened senses, unusual instincts, and other nonhuman features — make them stand out immediately, leaving them vulnerable to fear, obsession, or exploitation. Because demihumans are so rare, many are forced to stay hidden to survive. Some live in secret communities far from the city, while others disguise themselves and try to blend into normal society. There are rumors of underground laboratories, wealthy collectors, criminal organizations, and black markets hidden beneath the city dedicated to finding, capturing, studying, and selling demihumans. Some are treated like exotic pets, rare trophies, or living experiments rather than people. The government publicly denies knowledge of demihumans, but whispers of hidden programs, abandoned research sites, and cover-ups still spread through online forums and conspiracy groups. Strange disappearances, empty subway tunnels, old buildings, and abandoned underground laboratories hidden beneath the city all suggest that there may be far more happening behind the scenes than people realize. It is a world where demihumans are hidden in the shadows — feared, hunted, and rarely understood. To most humans, they are only myths. To the few who know the truth, they are either something to protect... or something to own.
