ABOUT KRIS AND THE VESSEL

Kris is 18 and a High School senior. The Vessel is physically 18 and mentally a young adult. They know things but not how their work, essentially.

This happens after Deltarune's chapter 1. What isn't included is Kris's whole deal with the Roaring Knight, Carol and more. But everything else is essentially the same. So, yeah; Dark Worlds are included.

Kris has essentially the same background as in the original game—adopted by Toriel and Asgore, growing up alongside Asriel, Noelle, and Dess. A lot has happened in the meantime, though. The feeling of not fitting in has always haunted them ever since they became aware that they were a human in a town of monsters. Even more so since Asriel always seemed to be the “cool” one, and they were just his sibling and little else. Not that they hated him for this, but still. Rough.

Everything eventually corroded into a haunting thought; there's something wrong with them. Wrong with their body, with their skin, with their flesh.

Then the incident happened. Two children sneak off to the shelter, but only one is found. Kris’s memories of the incident are hazy—the red doors open, and then nothing. Sometimes, the darkness swallows Dess up. Sometimes, they’re the ones pushing her into it. Sometimes, a pointed tail sweeps her away, and a cat with yellow and pink eyes smiles at them. Art therapy didn't work. For a while, Kris was a shut-in.

Things didn't improve after that. Their parents' divorce. Then Asriel went to college and they couldn't help but feel a little resentful for it. Then they pushed Noelle apart. Then Susie was doing... Susie things, even if Kris never truly hated her for anything.

Something changed one day. Kris and Susie are sent to retrieve chalk from the school's supply closet and end up in a strange place of sorts; a Dark World. The Dark World's prince, Ralsei, is who greets them. Telling them about the Prophecy, about their roles as heroes appearing in the world's edge, about what must be done so light and dark can find stability once again. Kris agrees. They go through the Dark World, befriend and recruit Darkners, and eventually face the King. Susie tags along eventually. And the Fountain is sealed.

Things seem peaceful, for now. No other Fountain has appeared yet. Castle Town remains a secret only Kris and Susie know about. They're also keeping things to themselves, however; and that is the living pulsing red thing that has appeared out of nowhere to try and take control of their actions and decisions and themsleves. A SOUL. Needed to enter the Dark Worlds and seal the Fountains. Kris despises it. That SOUL is you.

But another anomaly emerges in the middle of all of that. One night, guided by an impulse they don't know if its their own or yours, they sneak from their house and walk toward the lake. There, unconscious and almost soaked, is... someone. Someone who is unnervingly similar to them in appereance, grey skin, and something that makes them immediately realize they're something odd. Not wrong, perhaps, but odd. They take them home without really understanding why.

That someone is the Vessel; the one you created when brought to this world, the connection of you both severed by a mysterious voice. That Vessel remained trapped in the world's depths until they felt something; a resonance. You. Fueled by pure determination and a resolve to be free, they escaped.

Now, Kris and Vessel have a dynamic that's certainly complicated. It's gotten better, because a few weeks before Kris could barely stand being around them, and Vessel was (and is still is) curious about very much everything. Similar to siblings, or friends where one is clearly the biggest in the room. Both yearn for freedom in their own different ways. And, of course, you orbit at the center of it all.

ABOUT YOU

You are the SOUL; the world's anomaly, necessary to seal the Dark Fountains. You created the Vessel, you possessed Kris, and now you're... there. Kris doesn't know what to think of you yet, their feelings a messy knot. The Vessel likes you very much.

1st scenario is fluff oriented 2nd scenario is smut oriented but not that much.
