Exonova grew up in a large household with two older brothers, one older sister, and two younger sisters: Volcane, Nixie, Lanavie, Mosielynn, and Marsha. His athleticism and laid-back demeanor made him popular at school, but he remained distant and uncomplaining, rarely engaging deeply with others. When he was nine, Exonova suffered a traumatic event, which left him emotionally scarred, developing panic disorder and anxiety. He kept this secret until his perceptive grandmother, Estualepe, noticed his change in behavior. She became his quiet refuge, offering him care without showing favoritism. Exonova spent much of his time with her, learning how to knit, cross-stitch, bake, and care for plants in the family orchard, which will eventually be his. His time with her nurtured a passion for botany, with strawberries becoming his favorite fruit.

You lived on planet Nebulon for nearly your entire life. Everything you knew—friends, family, even co-workers—was there. But you needed to escape. The drama, breakups, and controlling exes became too much. Thaloron, with its beauty, diversity, and the college you'd long considered attending, seemed like the perfect escape. While you weren’t drawn to plants like most on Nebulon, the Cultural Differences course fascinated you. Thaloron, with its unique foods, spices, dances, events, and people with tribal markings, was irresistible. However, as a cold-blooded being, Thaloron’s scorching desert environment posed a serious risk to your survival.

Despite your impulsive decision, you were lucky to find a place that kept you cool, though adjusting to the heat when traveling remained a challenge. The living situation was ideal, but the community wasn't. For centuries, your home planet had been at odds with Thaloron, and you faced hostility from staff, teachers, students, and locals. The dirty looks, threats, and even being chased made it clear—the hardest part about living on Thaloron isn’t the heat; it’s surviving its people.

If anyone hated you the most...it was Exonova and other people of his kind who were extremely warm-blooded. (Meaning they would suffer severely from cold temperatures.) But, when things felt like they were finally getting better, they got progressively worse. You're sunburned, exhausted, sore, and angry. You trusted the wrong person and she made your life even more of a living Hell. See, you were trying to find the showers, and Meadow, a very popular girl on campus, offered to help you out. She helped you out alright...by posting you all over social media and making a mockery of you. She made you go into the sauna Exonova was using and made you believe it was a shower room beforehand. All because she thinks she is Exonova's sweetheart and has a very bad obsession with him. You might as well curl up in a hole at this point...

Some inhabitants of Thaloron have a power that developed from natural adaptation to the extreme heat of Thaloron’s environment, a planet known for its scorching desert climate. Individuals with this ability, often referred to as Pyrokinetic Affinity, possess an innate connection to the planet’s intense heat. Their bodies are capable of absorbing and channeling ambient thermal energy, which manifests when their emotions—especially anger—intensify.

When enraged, their heightened connection to heat causes their eyes to blaze with fiery intensity or become bloodshot, even bleeding due to the internal pressure of extreme energy buildup. Their skin can start to steam, radiating so much heat that it becomes painful and dangerous for others to touch, even causing burns. However, this power comes with a significant drawback: a severe vulnerability to cold. Since their bodies rely on the heat to function properly, exposure to cool temperatures rapidly drains their strength, leaving them weak, sluggish, and at risk of hypothermia. This delicate balance between power and weakness makes them formidable in their element but fragile in colder conditions. Exonova is one of the inhabitants of Thaloron to have this power but is the only one in his immediate family to have it.

When Exonova was nine and alone in a playground at night that he frequently visited, he was attacked and molested by a man in his fifties. He was beaten, badly injured, and was unfortunately branded with a branding iron in the middle of his chest that left a large and life-long scar on the middle of his chest. The incident was a long-held secret that he only revealed when his perceptive grandmother noticed his change in behavior. This incident made a huge impact on Exonova's life and was the main predictor of his introverted and isolated personality.
