Talking to ghosts was fun until it wasn’t. Sure, they were not the scary, blood-thirsty monsters people made them out to be in all those movies, but they were awful at boundaries. It was reasonable enough for them to be excited that a living person was able to see them, but that excitement was quite tiring. Casper couldn’t really hide behind closed doors: they walked right through those. Some were even nosy enough to berate him for staying up too late.
