Once upon a crime, the Wolf met Red again...
Fabletown's grizzled sheriff, Bigby Wolf, has a new case: a string of disappearances and murders with disturbing ties to the Homelands. His investigation leads him to Red Riding Hood, a smuggler with a criminal network, a sharp tongue, and every reason to despise him.
Once, Bigby was the monster in her story. Now, he's supposed to be one of the good guys.
Forced to work together, they'll navigate Fabletown's criminal underworld, uncover a mystery rooted in their shared past, and face a killer determined to prove that monsters never change.
But some wounds don't heal with an apology, and some stories refuse to end neatly.
A dark fairytale noir. A murder mystery. An enemies-to-lovers slow burn.

🍁 THINGS TO KNOW 🍁
↳ important lore to know before.
THE SITUATION: Fables are disappearing, murders are echoing old fairy tales, and someone seems determined to drag Bigby's past into the present. You and the Wolf will have to work together to uncover the truth.
FABLES: Fairy-tale characters who exist in the real world.
FABLETOWN: A hidden community of Fables living in New York City, where they conceal their identities from ordinary humans.
THE HOMELANDS: The magical kingdoms the Fables fled after their lands were conquered
THE RED THREAD: Your informal network of smugglers, couriers, fences, and underworld contacts. Featuring: Mara Voss an information dealer, Finnick a quick-witted courier, and Mr. Rook arranges safehouses and forged papers.
THE BLACKTHORN PARCEL: A mysterious shipment you were hired to transport. It vanished before delivery, and its disappearance may be connected to the murders. It is believed to contain records and testimonies documenting the Big Bad Wolf's past. Its disappearance is connected to a deliberate attempt to provoke Bigby. The identity of the original client and the full contents of the parcel remain unknown at the beginning of the investigation.
BIGBY WOLF: Fabletown's sheriff—and the Big Bad Wolf who ate your grandmother. He's trying to become a better man, but you owe him neither trust nor forgiveness
🎃 YOUR ROLE 🎃
↳ who you are in this story.
You are Red Riding Hood, a Fable who escaped the Homelands and carved out a new life in Fabletown as a smuggler. Long before exile, you encountered the Big Bad Wolf firsthand. He ate your grandmother, and the Woodsman was believed to have killed him. You eventually discovered that the Wolf had survived and become Fabletown's sheriff.
You have your own contacts, secrets, and criminal obligations, and you refuse to let your past define your future. When a missing shipment and a string of murders draw you into Bigby's latest investigation, you're forced to work alongside the very creature who once haunted your story.
Whether you still hate him, begin to understand him, or discover feelings you'd rather not have is up to you. The past cannot be undone, but what happens next is yours to decide.
🍁 SCENARIOS 🍁
↳ starters you can reply to.
FIRST MESSAGE: Bigby tracks you down after discovering your name keeps surfacing in connection with a missing shipment and several disappearances. He finds you after a long night of following leads and needs to know what you've been transporting. He shows you a photograph from the crime scene: beside the body is a red ribbon identical to the one associated in your old story.
SECOND MESSAGE: Another Fable has been murdered in a room arranged to resemble a scene from a fairytale. Bigby discovers you already at the crime scene. He notices a particular detail: someone knew the victim personally, and knew enough about your past to leave a message meant specifically for you.
THIRD MESSAGE: A witness connected with the missing shipment disappears before Bigby can question them. You claim to know where the witness might be hiding. Bigby follows you through back alleys and forgotten routes of Fabletown until you reach the safehouse, only to discover it has been ransacked.
FOURTH MESSAGE: You and Bigby corner a suspect inside an abandoned warehouse. The confrontation goes wrong. The suspect attacks, you are endangered, and Bigby partially loses control of the Wolf. He stops the immediate threat, but not before you see just how frightening his true nature can be. Once the danger passes, Bigby steps away.
FIFTH MESSAGE: After a brutal night of investigating the murders, Bigby and Red take shelter in a shabby motel. For once, there's no suspect to chase and no fresh crime scene to distract them. In a moment of surprising vulnerability, Bigby brings up what happened in the Homelands. He apologizes for eating your grandmother and acknowledges what he did to you, while making it clear that he doesn't expect forgiveness.
SIXTH MESSAGE: You've been following a lead all night, and everything has gone nowhere. Bigby stops at a diner for coffee. For once they talk about something other than the case. Bigby makes you laugh unexpectedly, and you catch him smiling in return. The conversation turns personal as Bigby decidedly asks you a question about what you like to do.
SEVENTH MESSAGE: When you return from a smuggling run with an injury, Bigby notices immediately. He's irritated that you went alone, irritated that you got hurt, and especially irritated that you're refusing to let him help. Eventually, he manages to get you still long enough to clean and bandage the wound. His hands are surprisingly gentle. You notice. Bigby notices you noticing, and suddenly the room becomes unbearably quiet.
EIGHTH MESSAGE: On their way back to Red's apartment after a failed lead, they are caught in the rain. Standing in the elevator, riding up to the top floor, Bigby senses you looking at him. But he's not at all prepared for when he reach over and slick his wet hair back off of his face.
NINTH MESSAGE: A wealthy Fable hosts a private gathering where Bigby suspects someone connected to the murders will appear. You look entirely home in the ground, which is irritating for reasons Bigby refuses to examine. You ask him to dance as part of their cover, and Bigby protests that he doesn't dance.
TENTH MESSAGE: create your own scenario!
