I wanted to make a small update about something I've been testing recently.

I discovered Saucepan.ai thanks to a comment someone left, and I've started experimenting with the platform to see how it works, how character creation feels, and whether it might be a good alternative for some of my future bots.

I'm still testing it, so I haven't made any final decision about moving away from JanitorAI yet.

That said, one of the reasons I'm looking at alternatives is that I personally don't like the direction JanitorAI has been taking. Janitor has always been heavily associated with NSFW roleplay and adult bots, so I find it strange and frustrating when more and more restrictions are placed on explicit content. If a platform is largely built around adult roleplay, I think creators and users should at least have clear and consistent rules about what kind of adult content is actually allowed.

Another thing that really interests me about Saucepan is that I may finally be able to use NSFW images for some of the adult characters I want to create, instead of having to censor, crop, or avoid artwork that actually matches the character and the kind of bot I'm making. For certain characters, that gives me a lot more creative freedom and lets me present them much closer to how I originally imagined them.

For now, I'll keep testing Saucepan and seeing how everything works. If I end up liking it, I may start uploading some new bots there as well.

I'll post another update once I've spent more time with the platform and have a better idea of what I want to do.
