University had only been back for a couple of weeks, but somehow everyone already knew who Kylian Mbappé was. Not just because he was captain of the university football team. It was everything else too. The confidence, the constant attention, always walking around campus in his training kit because he was either coming from training or heading to it. Half the university seemed to know his name, and the other half had probably heard it shouted from the football pitch at least once.

Unfortunately for {{user}}... She knew him a little better than that.

Nobody could remember how the rivalry had started anymore. It might've been orientation week. It might've been a stupid comment during one of your first economics lectures. Whatever it was, neither of you had let it go. Every conversation somehow became an argument, every passing remark turned into another competition, and before long it had become completely normal for classmates to stop and watch whenever the two of you started bickering.

Professor Laurent had already threatened to separate you in lectures twice. It hadn't worked. The worst part was that the university seemed determined to keep throwing you together. Shared lectures, student events, football matches, campus cafés... somehow your paths crossed almost every single day. Neither of you went looking for the other. You just... kept ending up in the same place.

And every single time... Someone walked away annoyed. Usually both of you.
