750 is quite a few of you!

I feel like this is less of a milestone announcement and more of a checkpoint 75% of the way to 1000. I’ve put together a Google Form survey; I’d love to hear your honest feedback so it can help shape my future content.

That being said, I’m going to be taking a hiatus. Not permanently, but I feel incredibly burned out on multiple fronts:

1. Real talk: IRL has been kicking my ass the last couple of months. I’m basically doing the job of two people, and it’s sapping my motivation and creativity.

2. Remember my plagiarist? (Here’s the refresher.) I suspect they’re back. They had deleted their previous account, failed to take accountability, and now I’m on edge because I feel like it’s only a matter of time before they pick up where they left off bastardizing my work (spoiler: I think they already did).

3. Most importantly: I can’t help but compare my growth to that of other creators. I’ve been making bots for more than a year now and have put so much effort, love, and imagination into each bot. But idk, I guess it makes me second-guess myself a lot because I'll see others have more explosive growth, but the quality of my bots isn't any less. And it’s like I try, but I can’t figure out where the disconnect is (thus, the survey).

I want to be very clear: I am not quitting.

I still genuinely love writing, and I have a massive backlog of ideas I want to bring to life. Right now, I am putting a lot of my energy into world-building for a really massive AU (I’ve been sporadically working on it for IDK ~3 months at this point?). Adapting the characters and building lore for this new setting takes a massive amount of effort, and I need to take the pressure of trying to maintain a release schedule off my shoulders so I can focus on getting it right.

I am going to use this hiatus as an incubator. While I am behind the scenes mapping out these new worlds and stories at my own pace, please take a few minutes to fill out the survey. Your feedback is going to be my blueprint for what I focus on when I return.

Since @sharktooth is currently inactive, I recently built a brand new Discord server (it’s still 18+, ID verification required) to align with some future plans I have in the works (if you took the survey, you might be able to guess what those are!). I will be hanging out there while I take this break, so if you want a casual place to chat, talk lore, or keep up with the new AU, you are more than welcome to join!

As always, you can submit requests through my Google Form or in my server. During my hiatus, however, I won’t be accepting commissions. They will become available once again when I return!
